What Sets Moore Than Behavior Apart

1. We Don’t Follow – We Redefine

  • “Not Your Grandma’s ABA” isn’t just a tagline—it’s a mission.

  • We move beyond outdated, robotic behavior models to offer innovative, compassionate, and functionally meaningful support for each learner.

  • Our approach is grounded in modern behavior science, infused with dignity, creativity, and true collaboration.

2. Individualized Programming Built for Real Life

  • Our goal banks aren’t cookie-cutter—we build programs around each individual learner’s strengths, behaviors, and long-term developmental goals.

  • From long-term transition plans to daily skill shaping, every plan is layered with:

    • Functional Communication Training (FCT)

    • Differential Reinforcement (DRA)

    • Skill generalization across settings

    • Session schedules tailored to the learner’s needs

3. Comprehensive Support for Families and Communities

  • Caregivers don’t just sit on the sidelines—we equip and empower them.

    • Guided behavior change programs

    • Home-based implementation systems (like If/Then routines)

    • Real-time caregiver coaching and communication tools

  • We also reach beyond the home:

    • Support and education for teachers, medical staff, daycare providers, and community organizations

    • Community-based collaboration initiatives for advocacy, neurodivergence education, and inclusion

4. Staff Who Are Trained to Teach, Not Just Manage

  • Our BCBAs and RBTs follow a rigorous internal training framework that emphasizes:

    • Assent-based practice

    • Prompt fading that respects the learner’s autonomy

    • Modeling, generalization, and creativity

    • Flexible session design focused on momentum building and relationship-first support

  • Internal systems ensure consistency without rigidity—you’ll never feel like your child is being “run through a system.”

5. Passionate About Progress, Grounded in Ethics

  • We don’t just chase data—we chase meaningful outcomes.

  • Our team carefully balances developmental readiness, behavioral function, and the learner’s quality of life in every plan we write.

  • Whether it’s toileting, transitions, or social-emotional growth, we build for long-term success, not short-term compliance.

6. A Culture of Respect and Growth—for Everyone

  • Moore Than Behavior isn’t just a clinic—it’s a community.

    • Our team members are celebrated, not burned out.

    • Our learners are heard and supported, not managed or controlled.

    • Our families become partners, not just observers

What are the benefits?

  • Understand Socially Appropriate Needs: We believe every child deserves the freedom to be themselves. At the same time, we gently teach the social expectations that help them navigate the world with confidence, connect with others, and thrive in their community—without losing who they are.
  • Skill Development: We foster growth across all key developmental areas including: communication, social skills, emotional regulation, cognitive and daily living skills. Our programs are tailored to meet your learner where they are and guide them toward meaningful, lasting progress.
  • Adaptability:We provide practical, personalized strategies that help learners adapt more comfortably to their surroundings, manage everyday challenges, and build confidence in new or difficult situations.
  • Replacement Skills: Instead of simply reducing behaviors, we teach meaningful replacement skills—like asking for help, using a break card, or expressing emotions appropriately—so learners gain tools to meet their needs in healthier, more effective ways.
  • Social/Relationship Growth: Learners build the skills to connect with peers, caregivers, and community members through practicing empathy, turn-taking, perspective-taking, and appropriate social interaction—paving the way for real friendships and deeper connection.
  • Building Confidence : As learners master new skills, they grow in independence and self-esteem. At the same time, families gain the knowledge and support they need to feel capable, prepared, and proud every step of the way.

Why Our Form of ABA?

  • Our ABA is customized to meet the Learner and Family needs.
  • Our program adapts to you, not you to our program.
  • No cookie-cutter goals, only meaningful steps designed to help everyone grow.
  • We meet every learner with dignity and celebrate every step forward.

What are some components of a Moore than Behavior ABA session:

  • Naturalistic therapy: We follow the learner’s lead, building skills through their interests, play, and natural environment. No one is forced to sit at a table or stay in one spot. Instead, we embed learning into meaningful, preferred activities that respect the child’s pace, preferences, and autonomy.
  • Meals: Mealtime is more than just eating—it’s a chance to build important skills. These opportunities support the development of daily routines, social engagement, acceptance of others, and healthy food-related behaviors in a relaxed, natural setting.
  • Potty Training: We approach bathroom skill development with patience, dignity, and care. Learners are encouraged—never forced—to build independence in toileting. Our focus is on creating comfort, consistency, and confidence every step of the way.
  • Social Play: Social play is a meaningful time to practice interaction, cooperation, and connection. Through activities like sharing, co-play, turn-taking, and group participation, learners build the social skills that help them engage respectfully and joyfully with those around them.
  • Play: Play is where choice, creativity, and confidence come to life. We give learners the space to choose their own adventure, explore interests freely, and engage without rigid expectations—fostering autonomy, imagination, and authentic joy.
  • Motor Activities: Movement fuels both the body and brain. Through motor activities, learners develop coordination, strength, and sensory regulation—building the physical foundation for focus, learning, and independence.
  • Skill Building: Every moment is a learning opportunity. Throughout each session, our team is actively promoting, encouraging, and supporting the development of meaningful skills—helping learners grow in communication, independence, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
  • Emotional Regulation: When big feelings arise, we’re here to help. We guide learners in developing simple, effective strategies to calm their bodies, adapt their responses, and communicate their wants and needs in a safe, productive way—building resilience and self-awareness over time.
